MEDIEVAL STREETS

If you like medieval atmosphere, traditional music and festivity under the open air, visit the eleventh “Meetings in Tábor” festival.

Tábor historical center with its narrow streets is a perfect place for s festival which brings you back to the first half of 15th century. Tábor was ruled by Hussite commander Jan Žižka of Trocnov at that time. After 600 years Jan Žižka is back to rule the city during the festival accompanied by his loyal Hussite warriors. Festival is open by fireworks and followed by parades in historical costumes, concerts of medieval but also today’s music, open-air theatres, exhibitions and games for children. To pacify your stomach you can choose mead and bread with greaves or medieval menu in one of comfortable taverns.

A.R.G.O. agency and Housův Mlýn association not only supply major part of the program but they also offer fencing performance, concerts and entertaining program for children.
