BRIEF HISTORY OF Housa´s Mill (Housův Mlyn)

First notice about this place is from the period of Hussite wars (15th century) when Adamits organized churche services here.

Armies crossed this area also during the Thirty-year War (17th century)

• 1894 original steam-mill
• 1923 buildings destroyed by the fire
• 1948 renovated mill confiscated by communists
• 1950-1995 store house
• 1995 first reconstruction project focused on rebuilding the property to cultural place providing city with historical programs
• 1997 property is rented by A.R.G.O. agency
• 1998 property is owned by A.R.G.O. agency
• 1999-2006:

Historical tavern built up
First continuous miner built up
Housův mlýn association established. Historical entertaining program implemented.
Weekend program for children and adults is regularly organized from June to October. We organize concerts, exhibitions, festivals and other events as well.
